Sea Songs was inspired by Bath, Maine (my hometown) and its
400-year legacy of shipbuilding and marine labor in Midcoast Maine. Sea shanties are traditional folk songs that were sung to accompany rhythmic labor aboard large, rigged sailing ships. The songs have changed and evolved over time with many songs having numerous variations in lyrics. Images were taken on wooden sailing ships along the coast of Maine.
